How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you’ve locked in your date and venue. Popular dates go quickly, and I spend part of each year working in Europe, so it’s best to check early.
Do I need a trial?
I really recommend one. It’s your chance to try the look, ask me anything and feel completely relaxed on the day. Just let me know in your enquiry if you’d like a trial included in your quote. It works best once you’ve decided on your dress and hair.
How long does makeup take on the day?
I allow at least an hour per person for makeup and half an hour for hair, depending on the style. For bigger bridal parties I’ll bring a second artist so we stay on time, and we’ll plan it all out together.
Will you come to me?
Yes. I’m based in Hobart and travel anywhere in Tasmania, interstate and overseas, including Europe during wedding season. Travel is quoted based on your location, so pop your getting-ready address in your enquiry.
Can you do hair too?
I do simple hair styling that you can add to your booking, like soft waves and sleek or relaxed updos. Mention it in your enquiry and I’ll include it in your quote.
What should I put in my enquiry?
For weddings: your name and contact details, your date, where you’re getting ready and what time, how many people need makeup, whether you’d like a trial, and whether you need hair.
For anything else: your name and contact details, the date, location and time, and how many of you there are.
Will my makeup last all day?
That’s the plan! I prep your skin for your skin type and only use good quality, long-wearing products, so you look just as good at the reception as you did walking down the aisle.
Do you do makeup for other events?
Absolutely. Hens, balls, formals, birthdays, any special occasion, just you or the whole group. Lashes are included (individual or strip, your choice). Have a look at events.
Do you teach makeup lessons?
I do, one-on-one or in a group, and I can help you shop for products that suit you. Have a look at lessons.
Do you do fashion, editorial and TV work?
Yes. I work in TV and media with the ABC, Channel 7, FOX and Network 10, and I do fashion, magazine and campaign shoots and live shows. Get in touch for rates and availability, or have a look at fashion & editorial and commercial & TV.
What do you do with my details?
Your personal information is handled in line with my privacy policy. I may share your name and contact details with your other vendors so we can organise your wedding day or event together.
